I'm an optimistic mom of five, author, & life enthusiast. My blog www.TheHappiestMom.com helps moms make the most of motherhood.
There are a lot of reasons I'd be a great representative for SAM-e Complete, but I'll narrow them down to five: *I'm intentionally happy! As a working mom of five kids, life throws me plenty of curve balls, but every day I try to make choices that help me make the best of any situation...whether it's an exploding diaper or a fight with my husband. I believe that even the worst, crankiest day can be turned around--and that I really have the power to choose happiness. *I'm REAL. I know bad stuff happens to good people and life sometimes (often?) hands us all a big glass of sour lemonade. I also know that no matter how good your intentions, just telling yourself to be happy doesn't always work. Instead, think we all have to take practical steps to make a good mood easier to reach, like getting enough exercise, eating the right foods, taking time to recharge, nurturing your social life, and paying attention to your environment (I've found it's pretty difficult to be happy if my house is a disaster!) *I love to help people. I've built my online presence around helping other women pursue happiness for themselves. *I believe in the product! My medicine chest is stocked with supplements and natural remedies, because I believe that many of the conditions we usually treat with medication can be more effectively and safely treated with nature's help. *I'm an experienced writer. With hundreds of published articles, four books under my belt and a decade of blogging experience I'm never at a loss for words. And my background writing on natural health and mind/body/spirit topics makes me a particularly good fit. In short, this is the perfect gig for me, and I appreciate the opportunity to apply. Thanks for reading!
*I make time for rituals that nurture me mind, body and spirit, like my early morning cup of tea and my afternoon walk. *I pay attention to what I put in my body, opting for natural foods and supplements, and when possible, alternative remedies to illnesses, aches and pains. *I try to make the world around me a place I'd like to live in, whether that means being kind and helpful (even when I'm tired and would really rather not) or simply by making my home a warm and welcoming haven. I really do believe surroundings have the power to change our mood. *I try to face each argument, problem, or conflict by looking for the happiest resolution. That means sometimes I give up "winning" the fight--I'd rather be happy than right. And while I think an occasional vent can be a relief, when I feel myself giving into the urge to rant and rave, I ask myself "What's the positive spin?" That often helps me see things in a new, brighter light.
"How do you feel about your surroundings--your home, work, and other places where you spend much of your time?"
