What would make you a great representative of Nature Made SAM-e Complete®?

I like to joke that my parents raised me right by teaching me to love hockey, but in reality, one of their greatest accomplishments as parents is teaching me to have a positive attitude. From a very young age, they instilled in me the belief that with the right attitude and the right action plan, anything was possible and because of that, I have always looked for the positives in every situation...especially the bad ones. Five years ago, I was honored to be Miss New Jersey and promoted the Power of Positive Thinking as my personal platform. I traveled the state speaking to various groups – from kindergarten classes, to cancer patients, to the executive board and primary sponsors of the Alzheimer's Association - about believing in your ability to accomplish great things. At the time I was crowned, I thought I had become Miss New Jersey because it was my dream to compete at Miss America, but it wasn't until I looked back on my year of service that I realized I had been given this opportunity so I could inspire and encourage other people to believe in themselves and follow their dreams. While I still share my specific blend of Pollyanna to those that I encounter throughout my day, I'd love the opportunity to share that message on a grander scale as the next Good Mood Blogger.

How do you maintain a good mood naturally?

I believe that life is full of choices. I can choose to be in a rotten mood or I can choose to be in a good mood and look for the positives. Some people see a long, grueling four-hour drive filled with construction, traffic and detours, but I see the opportunity to do nothing but look at the changing foliage and sing to the radio at the top of my lungs for four hours. I do things that I love, that make me laugh and inspire me to be the best version of myself even when I'm pressed for time. I realized a long time ago that if I don't take time out for myself to enjoy the little things life has to offer, I'm not in the best frame of mind to tackle the challenges that are sure to present themselves at the most inopportune times! I also believe that smiles are contagious and hugs are free and I'm more than happy to share the wealth.

What question would you add to the SAM-e Complete® Mood Quiz?

How much time do you devote to focus on your well-being? - I spend at least an hour each day focusing on my needs. - I squeeze in time whenever I can. - I try to find time, but something more important always seems to come up. - Time for myself...what's that?
