In the article, writer Laura Johannes explains SAM-e and speaks with Dr. Mary Hardy, a California physician who studied SAM-e in a U.S. government-commissioned review, published in 2002.
Dr. Hardy explains the study, including the fact that there was no placebo control. I found the article to be pretty informative and though it isn’t a comprehensive review of SAM-e, it does explain some of the research that has been done, and some of the results.
