Q: I love SAM-e, but I want to decrease my dose from 400 mg, is there a smaller dose?
Yes! SAM-e comes in 400 mg and 200 mg, so I would recommend switching to the 200 mg SAM-e. It is really not recommended to cut the tablets, cutting the tablets would most likely decrease the amount of SAM-e that is absorbed. Nature Made SAM-e Complete is enterically coated so the the tablet is absorbed by the body properly. Cutting a table would break this coating.
