Q: Should someone receiving outpatient surgery discontinue use of SAM-e prior to the procedure?
SAM-e should be discontinued at least 2 weeks before a surgical procedure. One can probably safely resume SAM-e shortly after a surgical procedure, but this should be discussed with ones surgeon.
