Q: Does taking SAM-e have any effects on women during their monthly cycle?
SAM-e is actually a mood support related to the body's nutritional needs, not hormonal shifts. So although some women may experience a benefit with their monthly cycle mood swings while taking SAM-e, the research does not directly support this.
