Lisa’s List of 50 Feel Good Things
I recently came across a website called “1000 Awesome Things,” filled with things the author, and others, have found to be “awesome.” These include things like “When little babies let out adult-sized burps” or “Sleeping with one leg under the covers and one leg out.” The site was so inspirational, I thought I’d share my own list of 50 things that put me in a good mood. Some of them are things you can do to put yourself in a good mood, and others are things that just happen on their own, but all are sure to make you smile. One of the benefits of Nature Made SAM-e Complete is maintaining a good mood naturally, but it also helps to know what that good mood really feels like. Hopefully you can help by contributing to my list.

- Reading a good book before bed.
- Eating just enough (not too full, not still hungry).
- Listening to an audio book during a road trip.
- Seeing an old friend at a random time and place.
- Finding a great parking spot.
- Having just enough change.
- Seeing someone you know on TV.
- Finding a pair of shoes that fits perfectly.
- A cold drink on a hot day.
- Making it to the movie just in time for the previews.
- Having brunch with friends.
- Finding a penny on the ground face up.
- Finding money you hid from yourself so you wouldn’t spend it (& still not spending it!)
- Getting a friend request on Facebook from someone you had almost forgotten about.
- Laughing hysterically.
- Getting a runner’s high.
- Stepping off a plane into a completely different climate.
- When a waiter brings a glass of water before you even have to ask.
- Taking a long shower after a day at the beach.
- Putting on clothes fresh out of the dryer.
- Getting mail that isn’t a bill or junk mail.
- Having someone scratch your back.
- Waking up before everyone else and enjoying the quiet time to yourself.
- When you are in line at the store and a clerk opens a new lane and says, “I can take the next customer over here,” and YOU are that next customer.
- Singing really loudly in the car, pulling up to a red light and seeing that the person next to you is listening to the same station and is also singing loudly.
- Getting paid a compliment by a stranger.
- Holding hands.
- Throwing a surprise party for someone, and seeing the look on their face.
- Waking up before the alarm goes off.
- Playing with a puppy.
- When a neighbor or friend returns something you let them borrow.
- Having a picture turn out perfectly.
- Coming back from the restroom at a restaurant to find your dinner waiting.
- Getting home just in time for a favorite show.
- Stumbling across a community event you didn’t know about.
- Watching your team win.
- The first cool night of autumn after a brutal summer.
- When the boss brings in bagels for everyone, and you get your favorite kind.
- When you park at a meter that still has time left on it.
- Finding something on sale.
- Tuning in to a radio station just as a favorite song starts.
- Paying it forward.
- Having some chocolate.
- Knowing all the words to a song, or having the right quote for an occasion.
- Going to a wedding.
- The smell of a clean puppy.
- Eating an apple and getting a really good, crisp bite.
- Reading an old journal entry and remembering exactly how you felt that day.
- Singing in the shower.
- Getting everything done.
So, as I noted before, this list is by no means exhaustive. I’d love to hear about the things that happen to you in your life that really make you feel good inside and out. Even if you feel like your mood swings from good to not so good, these are the things that will make you feel good every time. What can you help add to my list?

#13 and #15 on the list are my favorites! And you can add to that: "Having all the clean laundry folded and put away". Ahhh, stress reliever! LOL

Oh man! All 50 are great but what I really LOVE is the smell of fresh-cut grass, a clean house, crisp clean sheets on the bed, and a movie or a good book. I can sleep like a baby when these tasks are complete! And if all else fails, I'll blog about it ;)

Thank you for reminding me of the good things in life. Lately I have experienced some of these things but haven't enjoyed them at all as much as I used to. I am searching for help to regain those pleasures in life.

my daughter is grown and expecting my first grandchild. that is a high all of its own, but i recieved an email one day telling me how lucky my grandson is going to be to have a grandma like me in his life. that he won't want to go home cause grandma is going to spoil him so much and that she loves and appreciates me soooooo much. just seeing the woman she has become and the mother that she will be is the greatest feeling in the world!!!!

Favorite thing: Taking risks that come out JUST the way I planned; i.e., ordering a custom-made wedding dress FROM CHINA online a month and a half before the wedding to be delivered "a week and a half" before the wedding...not done....AND measuring and taking an inch off all around with the hopes that my diet will be a success. Result: Dress came in, lost that dress size and dress fits great! More beautiful than anything I have seen in stores...so with great risk comes great reward.

I thought that most of these ideas were great but what about the look and feeling that we as people give to other's when WE give a helping hand in our community to those in need... The plesure that you get buy feeding someone who is HUNGRY is far greater than the feeling of us when we are full , or the feeling when you Give someone a warm jacket to shield them from the cold..isntead of a perfect pair of shoes that fit us..Or most of all what about the feeling that we give a child who's parent cant afford a gift for them at christmas time.. and we send them gifts...(these feeling's are FAR GREAtor) . Most of your ideas' were wonderful... but I personally think that listening to the voice of my grandaughter as she sings in the shower is far more enjoyable than my own voice... Chuckle chuckle or what about when your husband is putting in his false teeth and puts to much glue on his dentures and when he starts to gripe his lips stick together ... OH THE LAUGHTER... is priceless.. and feeling that there is good in world fills my heart with JOY... HEY SAM-E how about giving me a trial shot ..and others... someone of us have trial week or weeknds ..I would make you laugh so hard... and also think about life...

Currently my feel good factor is my son. Playing with him is such a stress reliever. He has just started walking so it's pleasure to see him walk with things he picks up on the way in both his hands.
Joys of being a mother can be compared to none.

When my little girl runs really fast up to me and jumps on me , giving me the biggest hug! and kissess, then says i love you momma!
When my little girl says I am the best momma ever and thanks me for all my hard work.
seeing all the funny pictures pictures my little girl draws.
When my little girl gives up some of her toys and clothes she really likes alot to a charitable organization because she says she wants other children who have nothing to be happy .(she does this without anyone even asking her).
I am just happy knowing I have a beautiful, loving little girl.

Three things popped into my mind:
--being in a crowd of people trying to spot the face of the one you love the most, and when you do find him, he's staring at you.
--nuzzling a baby's neck at that spot-you know the spot I'm talking about.
--skinny dipping under a full moon.

I really love to teach and there is no greater joy than watching someone "get it"! When the light in their eyes goes on, it makes MY day light up!
Also, rediscovering how much I like my husband. We love to travel together and enjoy so many things in common, but so seldom get to do any traveling that its a wonderful treat to rediscover each other once a year.

listening to the rain drop as the windows in your home is opened. Nature is sooo much better than man made air conditioning.

going to bed or taking a nap
right when it starts raining or storming- with the window open so you can hear it.
#2- being encouraged by someone who knows your failures and loves you anyway.
#3- having kids that crack you up all the time.
