7 Mental Fake-Outs to Improve Your Mood
Marc Salem is a mentalist whose “Mind Games” have entertained and thrilled audiences everywhere, and recently, he contributed some of his tips for “mind over matter” when it comes to helping to discover your good mood.
In Men’s Health, he gives ‘7 Mental Fakeouts That Will Improve Your Mood.’ I thought this article would be helpful for anyone interested in psyching themselves out to beat a bad mood.
Here are just a few of the great tips Salem recommends, but click over to the full article to read the rest:
- Climb the Stairway to Heaven. There’s nothing like music to my ears that sounds like music to my ears. Psyche yourself out by putting on a favorite jam and sing along, loud and proud.
- Sniff a lemon. Or some lavender, or an old book. I wrote about the benefits of aromatherapy on your mood before, and Mr. Salem seems to agree that there what you smell can help boost you out of a blue Monday.
- Pet your pup. Not only will your fuzzy friend appreciate it, but you’ll immediately feel a sense of love and affection. It is a win/win scenario, and isn’t that mood-lifting sense of companionship why you got a pet in the first place?
These are only some of the 7 tips (clearly) but check out the article for the rest: Fabricate a smile, Clean your room, Put on a blue shirt, and Order Chinese. What are some of the ways that you “fake-out” yourself towards a happy mood?

Sam-e has helped me ove rhe lsa 8 yrs...at on epoint was on Paxil..after 2 mnohs of becoming numb inside n out, I weaned off..I even compalined to pharmacist who said" either take it and get used to the side effects, or do without it"...I chose the latter, and found hobbies, jobs, and business to make me happy...but that bridge to all this came frm Sam-e..
