Best Vacations for a Great Mood
I told you last month all about taking a “Staycation” this year, but if you have the will and the way and you still want to get out of your town, here are a few vacation opportunities that will make you feel great. Vacations can often be stressful, when the whole point of them is to alleviate stress in the first place.
So, if you’re planning to take a vacation this year, go somewhere that will allow you to find your good mood along with some thrills and relaxation. I’ve put together this list of vacation opportunities that will help you enhance your mood and not worry about all the stresses that come with taking time away from your life.
• Florida Keys – Key West, Key Largo, and Islamorada are some of the most beautiful and exotic destinations in the world, and they are in the good old US of A. If you think you need to travel abroad to experience crystal blue waters and relaxing white sandy beaches, think again, because the Florida Keys offer all the splendor of the Caribbean without the confusion of going overseas. With plenty to do and plenty of fresh, wonderful food, the Florida Keys are about as great a mood booster as one could hope for.
• Napa Valley – If you want to have an adventure in some of the most beautiful and peaceful scenery you can imagine, you might consider a trip to Napa Valley. Wine Country, as it is popularly known, is a great trip for romance and relaxation. Plus, you’ll get the cultural experience of trying new wines and see the process of making wine. (Some say that wine is also a natural mood enhancer, but it might just be the alcohol talking.)
• All-Inclusive – If you are planning to go away for longer than a week, it might be a good idea to book a trip that has all-inclusive pricing. That way, you won’t have to worry about budgeting and minor details that can be stressful and time consuming. Some resort packages offer all-inclusive pricing, which can include everything from airfare to accommodations to poolside drinks. Vacation is meant to be relaxing, so don’t add any excess stress by adding superfluous costs.
• Mountain Vacations – If tropical beaches or balmy climates aren’t your thing, a getaway to the mountains can be a great way to enjoy the quiet majesty of nature while getting an opportunity to relax away from the hustle and bustle of urban life. You can affordably rent a cabin in various mountain resorts, or you can really choose to “rough it” and go camping under the stars.
These vacations are just a few of the examples of ways you can relax and enjoy your time away from work. When all else fails, though, definitely keep in mind that a staycation is a great alternative. What are some of the vacations you have taken that put you in a great mood?

I visit the the Keys often, partcularly Key West, FL. The last time I was there was this past May, 2009, and it was so breathtakingly beautiful and relaxing, until I bought a vacation home while I was there, so I can now go at anytime!!
