Blast from the Past – Build a Fort

Remember when being a kid and your only worries were how to avoid eating meatloaf? Tap back into that time and do some fun kid stuff, like make a fort out of couch cushions. My sister and I would involve other pieces of furniture, too, like the dining room chairs and this fantastic ottoman that would always make a really good gate.

Now I know it seems silly and immature, but then again, I think that’s the point. Doing something silly (as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else) is a great way to revisit those feelings of carefree activity from your youth. As long as you’re on the web for now, though, check out this fun little blog that will jog some memories that might put you in a good mood automatically, or at least inspire you to do something that always put you in a good mood as a kid – I’m Remembering.

What activities from your youth could you enjoy with just what you have around you?
