Cincinnati Photoblog

Last week, my son and I followed my husband to Cincinnati for a business trip. Since we just got new iPhones—which have a surprisingly great camera built in—we started snapping photos everywhere we went.

I love how this little device was able to re-ignite my passion for photography, and brought a little bit more color and life into our lives.

Here are some photos from our trip. All taken from the phone’s built in camera:

While waiting at an intersection for the light to turn green. I looked up and saw the tip of our hotel building against the sky and snapped this photo. One of my favorites.

The interesting patterns and glass ceiling from the top floor of the modern art museum. I love the texture of the wall and the mystique feel it creates.
The elevators at the art museum, taken at a slight angle against the concrete wall. I like the imbalance created by the lines in a spatially balanced photo.
While walking through the historical part of the city, we came upon a wall covered by branches. This is one of my favorites. It reminds me of a painting that a friend did for me a few years ago.
Here’s my son sitting in a strip of shadow cast by the large museum windows. I liked the pattern and space that the shadow created on the open floor. There’s my shoe.

And while we’re showing photos, let me throw in a few photos of my son, just because his little face makes me smile.
