Effective Technique to Answer Life’s Questions
I’ve been feeling a little distracted lately. I’ve been getting side tracked away from my main projects–the ones that are important to me. I found this cool little tool through reading “The Architecture of All Abundance” by Lenedra Carroll that I found incredibly helpful.
It’s a brainstorming technique that encourages us to find possibilities, alternate perspectives and answers instead of feeling limited or feeling stuck.

The basic premise is that you ask yourself a question, and you come up with 12 possible answers for the question. Lenedra, in her book, called it “The 12 What Else’s” and I’ve been referring to it as “The 12 Answers.”
So, one evening last week, I found a comfortable place to sit and to relax. In a relaxed state, I opened my journal and started putting this simple technique to practice. The results were eye opening, humbling and helped to direct me out of the emotional slump I was in.
I asked myself a series of questions, and after seeing each question, I would write down 12 or more answers underneath it. Some of the questions I asked were:
- “What are you afraid of?”
- “What is it that you want?”
- “What should I focus on?”
- “Why am I feeling distracted?”
I was surprised by the speed and ease at which the answers came. At first, it felt silly to be answering these questions. But as soon as I started writing—whatever that came to mind—I started noticing the healing powers of uncovering and examining my thought patterns.
Over the last few days, I’ve also started using this technique for other types of problems. Questions such as:
- “How do I keep my house clean and organized?”
- “How do I become an early riser?”
- “What are the next steps to grow my business?”
- “How can I delegate responsibilities to others?”
- “Why I should focus?”
Give this a try. Apply it to your life, and see what answers you get back. To read more about this topic, follow this link for a detailed write up on my blog: Problem Solving Secrets.
