Fear and Doubt
Among the many things we humans all have in common, one thing is for certain— we all carry with us some level of fear and self-doubt.
A few days ago, I asked my readers on Facebook, “What would you do if you weren’t afraid?” A question I like to regularly ask to remind people of the things that fear and doubt may be holding them back.

We can all probably relate to being excited about a particular dream or goal, but we've ceased to take action towards it. Usually, we don’t do the thing we want out of fear of failure or fear of the unknown. Doubt starts to creep in, and before we know it, we scrap the idea and go back to the comforts of our familiar daily routine.
On many occasions, I have allowed fear and doubt to creep into my mind and get in the way of achieving various personal dreams. As a result, I would let doubt convince me that it can’t be done, or see images of myself failing. I would get scared and stop working toward these goals altogether.
Trust me, being comfortable doing things that don’t challenge us while still fantasizing about our dreams is a lot more painful than if we just felt the fear and proceeded to strive towards our dreams.
Instead of dwelling in doubt or allowing fear to paralyze us, ask yourself, “What would I do if I wasn’t afraid?”
You may be surprised with the answer. These are the things your heart wants to do, but fear is stopping you from doing them.
Life is short. Perhaps, you can just do them anyway… now.
