Four Great Things to Cheer You Up

When I’m having a stressful day or I’m feeling run down, I try to find some natural ways to put me in a better mood. Aside from eating a healthy snack or doing some light exercise, I often turn to the web for inspiration or a quick, positive distraction. Here’s a collection of blog posts and other fun from the net to make you smile.

Musicovery – Musicovery is a webradio device that finds the perfect sounds to suit your mood. You can choose from a variety of styles and genres, and then click to “define the mood” of your music. Just move the cursor on the graph based on how you want the music’s mood to be: up and down for Energetic to Calm and left and right for Dark to Positive. If you register for free, you can save your favorite songs to hear again and again. As well as ban songs you don’t like. This is a fun way to discover new music and hear some old favorites as well.

8 Places to Live Out Your Fantasies – Have you ever wanted to be a rock star? How about a racecar driver? For a price, all of your dreams can be realities. Forbes.com has this list of 8 places you can live out all your dreams. Most of them are camps where you can live the life of luxury for a few days, and test your chops at things like playing B-Ball with Jordan himself. This list is full of ideas of how you can set your sights on stardom, adventure, or even outer space.

Miracle Fruit – Check out this article from the Wall Street Journal about a new trend that’s altering taste buds everywhere. A West African “miracle fruit” is making waves at foodie parties by allowing tasters to experience foods in an all-new way. The berry makes everything taste sweeter and more delicious, even lemons and hot sauce. It’s natural and potent, but the berry also isn’t cheap, as it is also very rare. Read all about the “miracle fruit” here, or visit the Miracle Fruit Man if you want to try them for yourself.

Cute Baby Llama – If you’re like me, you have a soft spot in your heart for cute baby animals of all shapes and sizes. This adorable baby llama with an oh-so-scrawny neck is just one of the many critters you’ll find being adorable over at Cute Overload. The blog serves no other purpose than sharing photos and stories that will make you smile. I dare you not to.

These are just a few things I’ve found that restore my mood. We’d love to hear from you in the comments: What are some of your favorite online spots for recapturing that healthy mood?
