It is tough to remain positive in the current climate. Worldwide, things are tough to take in. Fortunately, with all the bad news you might hear, there are some news items that will definitely uplift your mood. Here are a few recent stories that will help you find your good mood.

 


  • Yes, There are Real Superheroes – Don’t look up in the sky, but instead to the streets around you and you might just encounter some real life superheroes. These folks take being Good Samaritans to a whole new level, as they often dress in costumes and hit the streets in search of crime to thwart and prevent. With names like “Mr. Ravenblade” and “Civitron,” these heroes take matters into their own hands by observing and reporting crimes, as well as helping others remain safe as they go about their lives. Sure, they might not have mutant powers like the X-Men or super gadgets like Batman, but these civilians take a cue from the pages of comics and make themselves an important part of society.   • 8-Year-Old Girl Beats the Odds – An 8-year-old English girl overcame adversity from every corner to see a healthy life. Georgia Morgan not only beat leukemia, but also survived a stroke (caused by a blood clot on her brain from the chemotherapy and steroids used to treat her leukemia). She battled shingles as well as E. coli to go on and attend school without missing a beat. Though her illnesses were life threatening at times, Georgia remained bright and positive throughout her “adventure” – which can teach the rest of us a thing or two about not sweating the small stuff that makes us grumpy.
