How to Change Your Life – Part 2

“Never forget: This very moment, we can change our lives. There never was a moment, and never will be, when we are without the power to alter our destiny.” ~Steven Pressfield

I think it’s natural for us to feel that conditions have to be right before we can take steps toward changes to various areas of our lives. As a result of this thinking pattern, we don’t take any action and we are no closer to our dreams than a year ago.

Maybe you can relate: waiting until you have more time to start on that project; waiting for the project to be finished before talking to your boss about a raise; waiting for things to be less busy before talking to your spouse about issues in your relationship; waiting to make more money before having kids; waiting for the kids to be older before embarking on that creative project.

When we do this, we delay our potential, and no change happens. We think that conditions have to be perfect before we take certain action or to start on certain projects.

We forget that the power of ourselves lie in this moment. Change can only happen from actions we take from the now.

Every second of every day is an opportunity to create change through small steps we can take right now. The step can be as simple as planning on paper the action steps to achieve our dreams, or 30 minutes of research, or even visualizing the life you want to lead.

Whether you want to pursue a creative project, or to lose weight, or to start a new business, take some action towards it every day, however small. Remember that the conditions will never be perfect, and no moment in the future will be more ideal than this moment.

What can you do right now, to further, ever so slightly, your dream destination?
