Jessica Simpson Without Makeup
You may have heard about this already because it's causing quite a big to-do in the press… Jessica Simpson just posed with no makeup, and without photo re-touching, for a shoot with magazine Marie Claire.
I have to admit, for a brief moment there, between the time I first read the headline "Jessica Simpson Poses Untouched and Without Makeup" and when I scrolled down and saw the photos, I kind of held my breath. I wanted her to look good. I didn't want these photos to make it seem that real women, untouched and without pancake makeup, are heinously hard to look at.
People almost expect undoctored photos of a celebrity to make people gasp and recoil like they were seeing disturbing behind-the-scenes photos of a meat packing plant. But that would mean the rest of us real people, walking around un-photoshopped, look that disappointing all the time.
When you see the photos, first you have to get over the initial shock of the fact that you didn't even really know what Jessica Simpson looked like; that you had only really known what Jessica Simpson's makeup looked like. We have a whole different girl looking back at us in these photos. And she's pretty beautiful.
Now, I'm not a guy, so I can't say how guys will feel about the photos. But personally I think she looks great, and not just in the way that organic produce is pretty - where you tell yourself it's healthier so you look past the questionable spots and shriveled bits. She looks like a gorgeous girl that exists in real life.
So I say that's a win for everyone else that exists in real life.
I can't embed the photos right in this post because they're licensed, but you can check them out for yourself here. And let me know what you think!

She does look a lot different but I still think she looks pretty good. No Brigitte Dale of course.

I went to see the "Dukes of Hazzard" movie in a theater in 2005 and didn't find Jessica Simpson attractive.
I haven't seen any of her other movies.
After looking at those two new photos, I'm still not eager to watch her in another movie.

yikes... ok yes i concur she still looks good. although you have to admit that the make up was probably a complimentary facade for "show biz aesthetic" -there is perhaps a fine line to accentuating and cake walking yet is there a reason for the wardrobe attire..? with all due respect -no offense intended but seriously folks ~hair & fashion wise my dog can surely give the lady a run for her money any day.. :) may i suggest a good comb 'ie. non synthetic', oil treatment and let the natural hair color blend or shine. also kudos for future segway into make up endorsements.

Hello,Brigitte.
Jessica looks fine. We are all so used to seeing our Hollywood "stars" all made up, that is the only way we can accept them.
I seem to remember seeing a girl with no makeup, getting ready for a halloween party,as a yeti...
What ever we see most of the time, is the look we are used to. Once we see a person in other than the public spotlight, we have a better idea of who they are, by how much they change to achieve the pubic "face'

I'm not a fan of women who plaster their face with makeup. To me a girl looks her most beautiful when she first wakes up in the morning and no amount of makeup will make her look any better. As for Jessica Simpson, she looks really good and should not paint her face more often.

Honestly, I think she looks better without makeup. She looks younger and less "made-up". I think most women look better without or with minimal makeup. And, personally I dislike "ruby red" lipstick. Just want to get that out there since we're talking about makeup. Just my opinion.
