Monthly “Me” Time: Taking Time for Finger Paints
For “Monthly 'Me' Time” this month, I’m focusing on taking time for finger paints.
That’s right. I’m going to revert back to childhood, whip out the construction paper and paint, and have a little crazy, messy fun.
Art is always something that I have loved. Perhaps it is because it can take on so many forms. While one project may require hours upon hours of work, another project can take just five minutes. It can be realistic, or it can be abstract. And, unlike many areas in my life, in art I call the shots. I determine the masterpiece. I like that :)
Now, I realize that finger paints may not seem like true “art” to a critic (or even to women like Michelle Brusegaard who create for Etsy), but I think it will provide me with the perfect way to de-stress, allow myself to take things a little less seriously, and allow myself an artistic outlet in around 5 minutes (I think I can spare that!).
What are you going to do for yourself this month? Do you have an art project you are working on?

I'm going to get out my Precious Moments coloring book and color outside the lines - and then back inside the lines. Precious Moments are my one vice for relaxing whether I'm coloring in the book or looking at the adorable faces. In a house full of men (hubby and 2 sons), I need some "me" (girl) time!!
