Mood Makeovers - Change Your Style and Change Your Outlook

Sometimes a makeover isn't about just LOOKING good. Sometimes it is about how making a change can really make you feel. Here are some tips of how to revitalize yourself through your look and your outlook.

Go and Cut That Hair – Getting a completely new hairstyle can be an intimidating thought, but when you tell yourself “it’s just HAIR!” you can start to give yourself the freedom you need to begin a mood makeover. Do something different. Completely different. Consult with your stylist to find a look that you are comfortable with and start choppin’. The change in hairstyle can make you feel like a new person, and chances are likely that you’ll get a ton of compliments. That will put a smile on your face in no time.

Dress for the Mood You Want – There’s something to be said for comfy worn in duds, but treating yourself to a new outfit is a great way to feel youthful, beautiful and fun. If you can find something on sale, that will put you in an even better mood. Don’t be afraid to change things up a bit. If you aren’t used to wearing anything other than jeans and t-shirts, putting on a dress (or a suit and tie if you’re a guy) can bring out a sense of confidence you might not get otherwise.

Make Any Occasion Special - A lot of people like to use the excuse that they don’t have any reason to “get dressed up” or feel fancy. It’s up to you to make your own special occasions sometimes. Have dinner with friends and all get dolled up to hit the town. You don’t need a holiday or a birthday to celebrate. Besides, with no special occasion to celebrate, it can really take the stress off making sure everything is “perfect.”

Part of finding your good mood is finding what makes you feel great about who you are. Sometimes the smallest changes can make the most important differences.
