More Action = More Luck
"Good things come to those who wait, but better things come to those who work for it." ~Abraham Lincoln
I heard a similar quote that says something along the lines of “the more action I take the luckier I become.” I love that.

Isn’t it true that not a whole lot happens when we are just wishing for something to happen? I think that wishful thinking creates a feeling of lack, because you are comparing your current situation to a more ideal situation that you do not have.
So many people want an improved life instead of the one they are currently living, yet when it comes down to it, people would rather spend the evening watching TV than taking some action to get closer to their desired life situation.
Don’t get me wrong; I’m not against TV watching. I love watching TV, too. But, I also know that if I spent every evening in front of the TV, my life situation won’t change very much, because I didn’t take any steps to create a better life.
So now, I make a conscious effort to spend most of my evenings taking action towards my dreams: working on my book, writing for my blog, reading books that teach me new skills, discussing interesting ideas with my husband.
I know that I’ve been talking a lot about taking action lately. It is because without action, nothing changes. And if we want more than our present life circumstances, we have to be the ones to take responsibility and take action towards a better future.
If we don’t do it, no one else will do it for us.
Luck rarely comes on a silver platter. But if we take baby steps everyday, luck will meet us halfway in the fulfillment of our desires.
