With recent big news being less than fun to hear, there are often stories that slip through the cracks that remind us why it pays to look at the world around us and see the smiles it can cause. Here are some recent stories that will put you in a good mood.
Scuba diver finds and delivers a $7,000 engagement ring – Sometimes you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone. That was the case for a Minneapolis woman who lost her expensive engagement ring on a boating trip on Lake Minnetoka. A real life hero came to her rescue in the form of a treasure hunting scuba diver who took it upon himself to find the ring, which he did 3 days later. The bride-to-be appreciated it and showed it by giving him nearly $1,000 for his efforts.
Man buys yard sale photos, turns out they are worth a pretty penny – A man who thought he had lucked out at a yard sale recently by getting some photos for the low price of $45 might as well have won ten lotteries when he discovered they were Ansel Adams originals worth $200 million.
Pizza delivery guy is a hero – Pizza guys are usually only heroes when it comes to saving you from hunger, but one delivery guy is a real hero after he saved a man’s life. The pizza guy turned paramedic was delivering a pizza just as his customer collapsed. When other paramedics arrived on the scene, they said the man wouldn’t have made it had it not been for the pizza guy!
