5 Ways Pets Can Save Your Sanity
I love animals, and as I have talked about before, having a pet around can really take away the blues if you are feeling down. Whether you own a frisky feline or a lovable puppy, studies show that having a pet around your house can significantly improve your mood.

Here are some of the ways that having a pet nearby when you’re down can be a great natural mood booster.
- Reduce Stress Levels - Only a few minutes alone with your pet can do wonders for your stress levels. Researchers have found that pets may provide better support than humans can because pets don’t judge us, they just love us.
- Lower Your Blood Pressure - Pets can help your stress level, which can in turn can control spikes in blood pressure. In a study conducted with hypertensive stockbrokers, the group with pets had spikes half as high.
- Faster Recovery - Have you had surgery recently? People with pets often have a faster and easier recovery.
- Encourage Exercise - It’s easy to put off a walk when you’re alone in your house, but it’s a lot harder with your dog barking at your front door. Exercise can help us sleep, lower our stress level, and make us feel great.
- Combat Loneliness - Pets don’t just help physical problems, they are an emotional help as well. Unconditional love and support can help anyone and pets have plenty of it to give. Just make sure you return that love by showing them respect and giving them the things they need to live a healthy and happy life.
Whether you have cute kitty, playful pup, a horse, a parrot or a dolphin— giving your pet a few more minutes of your day will help you live a healthier life. How do your pets help you with your day?

I have always owed a cat. Life would be so empty without my cat.

This is so totally true. My mother and I have a cat named Prince and Price is always around my mother when she is sick, upset, or even just plain happy. He is always there to lend a helping hand in making his favorite people happy which in turn make us happy. Spending even just 15 mins a day with Prince before I go to work makes me a pleasant person at work also. If you do not have a pet, I suggest going and getting one from your local animal shelter. They all do wonders.

Saw your SAM-E commercial for the 1st time today. Was eager to take the mood test. Nothing else works, I figured why not, right? Anyway, I knew I was on the right track when I saw the article about 5 ways pets can save your sanity. I can attest to that. I have a bunny, she turned 1 year old today. Without her, I probably couldn't get myself together as I do every morning. She needs me to take care of her and that's good enough for me. Anyway, that's it. Thanks for reading. Keep up the good work, I'm considering getting some SAM-E, and can only hope and pray it makes me feel the way they do in your commerical. Take Care. Ruthie Lawrence.

I agree my pets have gotten me thru many hard times. When I am down or sad they sense it and show me they care with puppy kisses and hugs, or soft purrs and head butts from my cats. They are my sunshine when skys are blue. And I know they are always there for me. Am going to check into SAM-e and talk to my doctor about it.
Thanks for the info and the mood quiz! Great!

I have a dog and I recently stopped taking him for granted. I'm a teenager and my life can be pretty stressful sometimes, but I love knowing that my puppy is always there to love me. Once you have a pet, it's fun to observe their personality and realize how badly you need them around. Whenever he has overnight vet visits, it's so empty without him here. I know some people aren't dog people, and neither was I. But now that he's here, he's never going to leave. =)

I have one horse and one adorable cat named Cowboy. I am 66yrs. old and I ride my horse at least 3 times a week. When you love an animal, your love comes back 10 times as much. They keep me healthy and moving, especially my horse I am looking into Sam-e Complete to keep my moods healthy.

I have 2 cats and a dog and they are part of the family. I love them so much. I wish I could have more. It is hard to take care of them when I am moody. But at the same time they get me out of bed early in the morning and I feel so loved when I am around them.

I'm looking forward too to trying Sam-e. I also believe that pets are great stress relievers. My dog would always meet me at the front door with his little nub wagging (He was a boxer) and if I had had a bad say wt work all that atress melted away. There was something so soothing about petting him that we'd both end up falling asleep on the couch.

Having a cat in my life has made my life so much more interesting and fun. The funny little things they do and the way they keep you company when you are alone is so valuable. As you come home from a busy day, they are there to greet you and cheer you up. Pets are wonderful!
