SAM-e Complete™ Monthly Contest – Who Can Always Put You in a Good Mood No Matter What?

Finding your good mood doesn’t have to be a solitary quest. Sometimes those around us can inspire the best in us, so it’s important to recognize the people in your life who really make a difference. This month, I want to know about the person (or people) in your life who put you in a great mood no matter what.

Do you have a friend who can make you smile and laugh with everything they say? Is there a loved one who always has the right thing to say in any situation? Is there a singer or star who can pick you up with their inspirational music or movies? Let me know in the comments who puts you in a great mood, and you’ll have a chance to win* a month’s supply of Nature Made SAM-e CompleteTM.

We’ll select the 10 most creative and inspirational replies, so feel free to embellish these responses however you like. Though every comment will be considered, unfortunately, I can’t post every comment I receive, but I’ll put up as many as I can. Because we are looking for creativity and inspirational people, your entries will be judged based on a few qualifications:

  1. Creativity – Be as creative as you want with this. In the past, we’ve received poems, stories, and all around hilarious entries for contests, so the more creative you are, the better your chances.
  2. How Clearly and Effectively the Entry Message is Conveyed – Make sure your comment makes sense to at least one other person before you send it.
  3. Relevance to the Subject of the Contest Question – Not just any answer will do. Make sure what you’re submitting answers the question.

SAM-e Complete™ is meant to supplement the Sam-e molecules that your body normally produces to help you maintain your healthy mood naturally. It’s not meant to cure or prevent any conditions, including depression. Because of this, comments about depression or other such topics will not be posted. Even if we can’t approve all the comments we receive, you’ll still be eligible to win whether we post your comment or not. For full contest rules, be sure to check out the Official Rules page. Good luck!

Love the idea of the Good Mood Blog

My youngest nephew is the 'king of one liners'. It is impossible to be around him and NOT laugh. He has natural timing and delivers his jokes with such a straight face he really should be a stand up. Most of the time family talks you OUT of comedy, but we will all encourage him to do it, because he's just that good! He also has a knack for telling the right one liner at just the right time, and he even has seasonal ones! I think I should get him an agent for Christmas. He definitely can ALWAYS put me in a good mood!

I have a friend who, even on my lowest days, can always make me smile. He has just the right inspirational quotes or discussions that take my mind away from what's on hand and bring me to the present, a good present. He doesn't cover up the bad feelings, he shows me that there are good things everywhere, a wonderful addition to a low day.

I wanna tell whole world about my good mood, but instead I can say it to my journal.

Little hands and a big smile-

My three children make me smile
My eldest makes me laugh
My middle makes me warm
My youngest makes me love

I have three angels that God blessed me with and they make me happy even when I was mad, sad, upset and frustrated. When my one year old grabs my hand with her tiny little hand and looks up to me with her big blue eyes and that big sweet smile with her little dimples--who couldn't be happy?

My children make me happy- They put me in a good mood when I'm sad.

My daughter, Casey, is the one in the household that can totally turn a frown upside down sometimes just by the way she walks in a room. Both vocally and visually entertaining, she can come up with some of the wildest looks and can hardly ever walk a straight line. I can be in a foul mood all day and after she gets home from school, the party is on. If someone makes the mistake of putting on music or just turning on the tv, the dancing begins. The girl has not a drop of rythm. If she tries to stand still for to long, she falls over her own feet. She is the sun in my day and always brightens the atmosphere around her. You are thinking right now, how old is this girl with all the goofiness and clumsiness? 2,3,5....8? Surely this kid will grow out of it. Wrong, she is almost 15 and showing no signs of improvement. Just the way I want it. My daughter, the orginal court jester. We love her more than she knows. Stay the same sweetie, never change for anyone.

My incredible 2 yr. old grandaughter brings such joy to my life. I can be in the worst mood and just the thought of her can change it immediately. Watching her learn her world and helping her to do so is such a fulfilling way to spend my time. At 2 yrs. old her personality is shining through. Happy smiles, goofy faces, hugs, calling me gammy. I get goose bumps just to think of her. My face actually hurts after I send her back home to her mom, and I realize it is because I smiled the whole time she was in my care. We go to the park and she likes to walk on the walking path, then we hit the swings and slides. I can hardly keep up! She makes me feel my youth again. That is a amazing feat as I am in my late 40's and feel my age. I love you baby girl. You make my world. ~GAMMY~

My Aunt Alice can always put me in a good mood. I can go over her house and just look at her and she would make me smile. We could be talking about not much of any thing at all and she could make me laugh. I loss my dear aunt in July she had that warm humorous glow that could make anyone laugh. I miss you aunt Alice.

My friend Mar can always put me in a good mood. She cheers me on, pushes me to do my best, shares quirky experience from her day and adorable pictures of her grandson. She is truly a blessing.

I have two friends who have cancer, Johanna and RoseAnne. Well, now one. BUT over the past year both these ladies, who don't know each other, have been cheerful and happy, despite the bad going on in their lives. Whenever I am having a bad day I know, just talking to them changes my entire outlook. It's sad to know I'll never be able to again talk to Johanna, who passed away just a couple weeks ago but just thinking about her, always with a smile and something positive to say, she's the guiding light to a good mood. I still have RoseAnne and look forward to our marathon talks!

Who makes me slide into a good mood? My family past and present. Just remembering the good times. Peeking past the bad. Smiles, laughter, a beautiful sunrise, but most of all now. Watching what a fantastic mother my daughter is to my granddaughter. Just seeing the two of them together is amazing. The giggling, the dancing, singing, playing and sooo much love. How could that not put you in a good mood? But then seeing how far my daughter has come and how far her daughter will go is a journey for many good moods :-)

My 3 year old son is the one and only person that can make me smile on the worst of days. He does a few different things that are so adorable but in general he is my miracle boy after being told I would never have kids, but now when I look into his beautiful face, all I can do is be grateful for the gift I was given. One thing he does that really gets me is if I am mad he questions why those "wrinkles" are there on my forehead. To me that just can crack me up. If he is sees me crying or on the verge of tears he will tell me, "Dont cry mama, your my best friend" Who could be upset after hearing that line.

There is nothing better than the smile of a baby when they look at you and just smile, for no reason at all, just because they're happy. It is infectious.

Who can always put me in a good mood, no matter what? My dog, Logan can. He's always happy to see me, showing it through his emotions and his body. He loves unconditionally and always senses what's going on and when i might need some cheering up. Snuggling with him is so soothing, and i love burying my face in his fur and breathing deep, relaxing breaths.

I've got a small posse consisting of four hysterically funny girls, and three amazingly hilarious boys that really seem to make my worries and my bad days completely disappear.

I am 25 years old and the oldest of five kids. I've got three sisters; a quick witted and outspoken 23 year old, a hyperactive 16 year old, an easily amused and confused 11 year old and I've got a giggly four year old little brother.

My 23 year old sister and I both have children. She's got a one year old, fast handed daughter, equiped with the cutest six-toothed smile ever and a breath stealing baby boy. I have a talented six year old son (by talented I mean sneaky), that has for some reason been blessed with the ability to see funny in everything around him.

Sometimes we find ourselves throwing last minute unorganized mini parties. We like to dance around, sing, play video games (our favorite is guitar hero) or play rediculous made up games w/ no rules and then fight about who won. And sometimes we just sit and talk about completely random subjects. It's really next to impossible to stop laughing at eachother/with eachother/next to eachother/on top of eachother/and in very rare cases through the window at eachother... And no matter how late we stay up, we're always up in the morning talking about what we did the night before and laughing about it over breakfast.

These are the people that can make me the happiest. No matter what or who has been bugging me the day, the week, or even the month before, I know that I can count on these kids to give me a notch or ten on my happiness meter.

Who can always put me in a good mood, no matter what? Ooh this is hard....my husband is so supportive and funny, and my kids are the light of my life, but I have to say that it is my church CHOIR! If I need a mood altering experience, I know I can count on Choir. Our director puts up with so much nonsense from us, but we just have so much fun teasing each other, and laughing at every opportunity, that NOT going to choir is just not an option. Who knew so many witty, wise, and wonderful people could also sing?! No matter how bad the day, choir always seems to lift me up. Of course, the singing helps, too. ;)

At this moment now, I sit with coldest wet feet from a fall deluge that strikes our city with heavy hammering drops. My handsome husband is tinkering with his laptop directly across from me. This is usually how we are together these days... he is so very busy and we have nearly opposite schedules during the crazy retail hell of Christmas. But I would rather see him like this in terms of work than not at all. I know work sucks every drop of energy out of a person and my mind is often misty with confusion over the future.
Life is oppressive sometimes and I can get into a sour mood where I get enticed into believing I am totally alone. But my handsome husband is my puzzle piece, my equal opposite, my heart beat, my anchor. He reminds me how blessed we are to have each other, and he is the only one who can make me believe that life will unfold before us like a banquet table.

My Daughter Sashi, who is serving our country, can make me laugh and smile like no other. On her deployements I am left with only memories and count the days for her safe return.
