A few days ago i was watching tv and i saw this commercial and it really got me thinking. my family is always mad at me and they say im usually upset about something (often friends or my breakup) and they say im always putting myself in a position to be the victim. after searching this site, taking quizzes, and reading articles i really hope this can help me rebuild my relationship with my family and help my mood. i hope i can remember this information in the middle of an arguement and make sure my temper doesnt go so quickly from 0-60. thanks a lot sam-e. i really think u guys made a difference for me.

my motto....I state and live by these principles daily

....judge not less thee be judged
......do unto others as you have them do unto you
....tell the truth, it truly sets you free
......be true to thyself, self preservation is first
ask the question, be prepared for the no, even though you would like a yes
...I say daily and believe, I'm grown enough
to except no but i like yes better
.....NO is a small word, but it is a powerful word.
....nothing from nothing is nothing, however
it takes something something to make something.
.....listen, follow instructions and keep it moving
.....no matter how difficult the situation
believe and state positivity thoughts oppose to negativity...remember positive first.
......admit when you are wrong, quickly and humbely apologize.
....we are human....do more right than wrong

I manage an apartment complex and I have to say smiling while talking (which I HAVE to do) does make your day a little brighter and people will smile back, which always helps. I am going to try the doing something for me and ramdon acts of kindness and hope they will help me fell better.

I've just discovered your web site today. It's been a life changeing experiance I would say for most of us. I already learned these in a course I took called DBT. There hard for me to do but I try my very best. no one wants to be around a sour puce all the time.

Smiling always makes me feel better. I always think sometimes when it is hard to smile that it most likely makes the other person happy to see someone else smile.... :) And that always makes me smile!

Deborah Saturday, December 06, 2008

This is excellent advise. I work in a very negative invironment, most days I go in with a bad attitude because I know everyone is gonna be complaining. I tried going in with a smile (even though the rest are not) and complimenting everyone one the smallest of tasks... the results are amazing! Moods are contagous, as are attitudes, if you want to be around happy people with good attitudes, be happy and have a good attitude.

Am probably missing something, but I only see 6 tips not 7. What's the deal?

Amy Monday, December 08, 2008

I seen your product advertised on TV and it sounded like a product that I might be interested in. If it does all it says it is going to. Then I believe this product will be a life saver for me And Many others.
Sincerely, Amy

I totally agree with the "smiling while talking" philosophy. I learned that years ago when taking a "super customer service" class. While it sounds corny, it so works! I also agree with that "looking on the positive even while negative is in the air" works wonders at your job. You may not agree with everyone that you work with, and there are going to be folks that you just don't "click" with, but you can't let them deter you from making the best of who you are. Keep smiling, keep quiet if it is appropriate (even if you want to disagree!) and don't let them get to you! :-) You are who you choose to be, and the better you is the one that will make people take notice in a good way....

Julia Sunday, January 04, 2009

Love these tips - but am I the only one who could only find SIX tips? (not that I'm complaining! :)

Today is the first time I have seen this advertisment for Sam-e. I'm a Gemini and I know I have many mood swings. I hoping by try Sam-e, this will have me at work and just help me with my moods and be a happier person. Thank You,

Janet Tuesday, January 06, 2009

I have a lot of health issues that lead to my bad mood. I am going to try Sam-e and do the smiling thing. I am so glad that I saw the commercial for this product. I am going to tell my sister about it.

Donna Thursday, January 08, 2009

I just read about the product and will by it tomorrow. I have chronic pain and have not been able to work for 11 years. I was a people person, but now I just sit at home. I have been dealing with alot of people dying or being very sick. I did get a German Shepard puppie to get up and about, but being winter I just don't do what I should with her. I must say her name is Lucy and she really does make me laugh. Yes I love Lucy! I hope this will help me.

VERY nice post. And I love that someone is reminding people how much animals are a real comfort to us, 24/7.
I've recently noticed how much chocolate and sugar in general makes me volatile and even ragey. I looked it up online and found that for some, insulin that is released when blood sugar goes up, may also cause adrenalin release, which in turn can cause anger and/or anxiety. BEWARE SUGAR. Its like alcohol, not everyone can handle it.
Hoping that SAM-e will also help with mood.

Rachel Friday, January 09, 2009

I enjoyed reading but wanted to find a more concrete method to help with fostering a better mood. I found the information very basic and not unique.

Melissa Saturday, January 10, 2009

I am really going to try and use these tips. I have been going through some hard times lately and I am willing to do whatever to put myself back into a better mood. Thanks for the tips.

angie Saturday, January 10, 2009

i only counted 6 tips lol but i think they all sound really good.

Joanne Saturday, January 10, 2009

I think I will really give the Random Acts of Kindness a try. In the past, I've always felt good when I gave a compliment or helped someone.
Also, I'm going to try to stop complaining. If I'm tired of hearing it, I'm pretty sure others around me are too.
Thanks for opening my eyes.

kiorah Sunday, January 11, 2009

HAHAHAH thats true theres only 6 tips lol. i will try not compalining more, and practicing random acts of kindness. i think im worthless besides my beautiful looks. I used to be fun loved and popular, now im always tired, bored, envied, ignored, and undrestimated. I fell very unimportant. I know i need to get over it, i mean i cant be like by everyone, but i'd be nice to be noticed sometimes. I dislike being so sad when i dont feel appreciated by people and not as liked because i know it doesnt make me lesser than i am but i cant help it. Maybe sam e can help? Well lest see if i get my personalitie and old life i had back.

Robyn Monday, January 12, 2009

I have chronic pain as well, which I know contributes to my moodiness. I'm short with my husband more than anyone, and I'll be the first to admit that. However, our finances are in the toilet, both of us hate our jobs (but are grateful and thankful we have them) and our relationship is not as strong as it used to be. I'm generally in a bad mood around him, so I'm thinking we should try counseling except our insurance doesn't cover it so I have to think of something else. I'm going to try this asap and hopefully this makes a difference.

Emma Tuesday, January 13, 2009

This article was so helpful. I tried the Count To Ten, and it worked. I am going to try the other ones. The quiz was also very helpful.

susan Wednesday, January 14, 2009

i only saw 6 also

Seems like many people in our society are stressed out and need ways to cope. I hope the new changes in government will be a positive change and that we can all feel more hopeful again.
I am so thankful for my dogs. They make me laugh every morning!
It's nice to have a place to share your feelings.

Laura Friday, January 16, 2009

I also try to smile while doing my everyday chores -- washing dishes, laundry, whatever. This is even more of a challenge but I immediately feel my whole body soften when I do so. After all, we shouldn't just put on a happy face for others -- we have to start with ourselves. I know someone who has a perpetual frown and she's the most unhappy, hard person. I don't ever want to become that!

Carol Sunday, January 18, 2009

I checked out the site and I have seen the commercials about sam-e and I am going to try it and hope it helps. My patiece runs short and I am tired of it. I want to try to smile more and I do like helping people.

kimmie Sunday, January 18, 2009

I really am looking forward to trying sam-e because my mood here lately has been terrible for everyone around me.

evalyn Sunday, January 18, 2009

Smiling, doing things for friends and family are great, also buying flowers are a wonderful idea. I like the tips very much. thank you

TJ Sunday, January 18, 2009

I THING I WILL give that a try complimenting co-woryers instead complaining .

Betty Monday, January 19, 2009

I do all of these, and I also include "I am going to have a good day today."

Adrienne Wednesday, January 21, 2009

Frequently giving other people compliments helps too - helps them, but helps you more than you would think. Before you realize it, you have affected other people's mood when they are interacting with you, which in turn rubs off on you.

I have been taking SAM-e everyday for about 3 months and I love it!

Karen Wednesday, January 21, 2009

I find a walk around the park is good for me. If it is to cold then I walk up the stairs to my apartment. Seven flights! I am huffing and puffing when I get to the 8th floor and usually forget what was bothering me. :-)

Barbara Monday, January 26, 2009

I am a cashier in a busy grocery store so I have to smile everyday that I work. To be honest with you the smiling tatic does work. My customers leave with a better attitude and a huge smile. I enjoy going to work just to see them smile. I have not tried this product yet due to the fact I have to consult with my physican due to other illnesses. The puppy message was a great one due to the fact when I come home from work my husky (Lucky) is waiting for me right at the door. I seem more short with my children then anyone else, grant you they are young adults and in the National Guards but I have on deploying overseas in a few months, so that is very stressful on me, never mind getting my associates degree before she comes back to the states. As you can tell I have a lot on my plate.
